Super Diamond Concert
Friday, August 22, 8 p.m.
Super Diamond, regarded as the premier Neil Diamond tribute band, will perform on the eve of Diamond's much-anticipated Boston appearance.
This is the featured event on our Friday Twilight Racing and Entertainment series calendar.
The show will take place after the conclusion of live racing. First post time is 3 p.m.
Tickets are on sale now. To order, click here. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 on the day of the show. This is a general admission show.
No coolers, no backpacks.
Please note that due to state law, there is NO ATM on the premises.
Gas Card Giveaway!
Sundays and Labor Day, now through September 1
With the price of gas on the rise, Suffolk Downs will help 20 lucky people fill their tanks every weekend from July 6 through Labor Day.
Twenty $50 gas cards will be given away each day.
Please note that there is no live racing on Sunday, August 31.
Each day of this promotion, patrons will be given an entry form with paid admission. Simply deposit the form into the bins at any of our entrances. ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED PRIOR TO THE START OF THE THIRD RACE.
Winners will be announced later in the afternoon, prior to the conclusion of live racing. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO CLAIM YOUR PRIZE. Winners’ names will be posted on the Suffolk Downs TV monitors and at the Customer Service Center located on the first floor between the Grandstand and Clubhouse. If your name is selected, report to the Customer Service Center with a photo ID to claim your prize.
You must be 18 or older to enter. Limit one entry per person.
Family Fun Days!
Sundays and Labor Day, now through September 1
From Memorial Day through Labor Day, all Sundays and holidays will be Family Fun Days at Suffolk Downs!
These fun-filled afternoons will feature a variety of entertainment and activities for families. All Family Fun Days feature a balloon artist and facepainter. In addition, the following entertainment will also be provided:
August 24 - Magician
Please note that there is no live racing on Sunday, August 31.
September 1 - Myachi
Before entering the track, visit the Fan Photo Experience at the Clubhouse entrance from 12:15-2:15 and get your picture taken with a racehorse and jockey.
Most activities are from 1-3 p.m.
The 66th Massachusetts Handicap
Who will join Seabiscuit, Whirlaway, Cigar and Skip Away on the prestigious list of MassCap winners?
Find out on Saturday, September 20 at the 66th running of the historic Massachusetts Handicap.
The $500,000 MassCap is one of five Classic Division races in this year’s Breeders’ Cup Challenge, a series of automatic qualifiers for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. In the Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” format, the winner of the MassCap will automatically qualify for entry in the Breeders’ Cup Classic, which will be run on October 25 at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA.

DRF/NTRA National Handicapping Tournament
Saturday, October 18
Join us for the second of two qualifying tournaments for the Daily Racing Form/NTRA National Handicapping Championship to be held January 23-24, 2009 at the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas, NV.
The winner of this tournament will qualify for the National Championship. In addition to the qualifying spot, cash prizes will be awarded to the top ten finishers. All money received in entry fees will be returned to these prize winners.
Additional prizes will be provided courtesy of Brisnet.
The entry fee is $60 and includes a Daily Racing Form, a simulcast program and lunch (12:30-2:30). All entrants will also receive a door prize courtesy of Brisnet.
The tournament will consist of a total of 15 pre-selected races from Suffolk Downs and other simulcast tracks.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m. The first race of the tournament will be at approximately 3 p.m. and the final race will be at around 6:15 p.m.
Players begin with a mythical bankroll of $60, consisting of fifteen $2 win-place bets ($4), one for each of the designated races.
All participants will play the same 15 races.

Breeders' Cup World Championships
Friday and Saturday, October 24-25
With 14 championship races and $25.5 million in purses at stake, this year’s Breeders' Cup World Championships is bigger and better than ever!
For the second straight year, the Breeders’ Cup will be a two-day event, starting with five races for fillies and mares on Friday, October 24 and continuing with nine races on Saturday, October 25.
The 25th Breeders’ Cup will be conducted at the Oak Tree meeting at Santa Anita Park in Arcadia, CA.
Come to Suffolk Downs to watch and wager on all of the action!
